Batman: New game teased by Batman: Arkham Origins developer

In the wake of Batman‘s anniversary, the six free Batman games on the Epic Games Store, and Fortnite‘s crossover with the caped crusader, he’s certainly been in the news quite a bit. But now, after years of speculation, WB Games Montreal may have finally teased the next Batman entry.

In a Twitter video, the studio posted about celebrating the 80th anniversary of Batman tied to a video. The video, which was 30 seconds long flashed four different symbols.

One of the symbols was tied to the Court of Owls, who’s been the main villain group people speculate will cause the most trouble for Batman in the next game.

Nothing is official, bear in mind, but this would be the best time to make this kind of announcement. It’s likely that the next entry will be fully revealed in the upcoming State of Play, Sony’s attempt at a Nintendo Direct clone, not that there’s anything wrong with that.

Many fans have expressed joy at the news in the forms of memes and gifs.

Meanwhile, some are taking a higher road by making sure people understand all they can.

The State of Play is in only two days, so we’ll know for sure then.

What do you think? Are you excited? What do you think will be in the next Batman game?
