Cory Barlog: Santa Monica Studio creative director “ends transmission”

Santa Monica Studio’s creative director, Cory Barlog, might be up to something. Making a mark as the director of God of War, Barlog tweeted out a cryptic message saying “End Transmission” with no context. To add to that, he also changed his profile picture to a satellite without warning.

There is a myriad of possibilities as to what this means. Speculations rose that Barlog is sheltering himself from Twitter until the possible meeting taking place in February 2020. This isn’t confirmed, but rather a possibility. Another speculation is that something big is happening soon.

Sadly, we’ll have bet against “God of War DLC in space” for now, sorry Sean. But, let’s face it, it would be pretty cool to see Kratos swinging around lightsabers.

Odds are, it’s the former speculation, the PlayStation 5 has been due for some sort of announcement and this tweet might be his “no spoilers” tweet. Only time will tell what Cory Barlog is talking about, but if I – the writer – were to hedge my bets, I’d bet it’s got something to do with the ever-approaching PS5.
